Puno Full day

LAKE TITICACA FULL DAY

As usual, early in morning (6: 40 a.m.) we pick you up at your hotel, and take you to the bay, where we will sail in a boat around the Titicaca lake, we will arrive at the Uros Floating Islands, a small community that live in these Islands who build their houses using TOTORA reeds. Later, we continued our trip towards the " Taquile Island" (2 hours approx), a traditional Quechua community who now speak Spanish settled here. Full of old agricultural terraces and some remains from the pre-Incas time . Most characteristic are their clothing, especially the "Chullos", a sort of point cap made with sheep wool. When we arrive to the coast area of the island of Taquile, we must walk through a narrow passage way, enjoying on the way the pretty views of the Titicaca lake. Once we get to the upper side of the Island the guide will explain about the Taquile culture. Next, you will have free time to explore this place by your own. Later, you will have to join us for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, we are going to descend until the port to take our boat to return to Puno, arriving there approximately at 5:00 p.m.
