Inca Jungle 4 days
FIRST DAY:
We leave Cusco between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m., for that we take a local bus towards Ollantaytambo which will be the first place we arrive, from where we will ascend towards the MALAGA pass (4360 m.s.n.m). From this point, we get off the bus to begin the riding, descending down hill. We will have the opportunity to observe the immensity of the valley and the beautiful landscape of La Convention province of Cusco, and as we descend we will find a variety of flora, from the wild bunch grass areas to droughts to the leafy own vegetation of the forest. In the middle of the way we will visit the Inka archaeological site of Wamanmarka, to finally arrive to Santa Maria, small town to spend overnight in a lodge that offers the basic services or camping. Before going to sleep, you will have a briefing about the itinerary the next day.
SECOND DAY:
After breakfast we will leave in a long walk (trekking) by footpaths full of vegetation, where we will be able to appreciate the sowing and harvesting of coffee, cacao, a variety of fruit trees like papaya, mango, soursop, as well as coca leaves. After the walk, we will have the opportunity to enjoy hot springs at Santa Teresa, where we will have dinner and overnight. After dinner we will have another briefing of the itinerary the next day.
THIRD DAY:
We begin walking around 8:00 a.m., we cross the Vilcanota river through a cable-car kind bridge, this point is one of most exciting and enjoyable. We will be able to enjoy the great variety of butterflies, parrots, birds, insects. Then we will have lunch at a point called Hydroelectric, to finally arrive at Aguas Calientes town (Hot Waters). Where we will have dinner and spend overnight.
DAY FOUR:
By 5:00 a.m. approximately we began the long walk towards Machu Picchu. We will walk around an hour to arrive at the citadel. We will have a two-hour-guided tour. Afterwards, you decide if you wish to stay a little longer in Machu Picchu, taking in mind the return hour of the train that leaves Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, from where we lead towards Cusco by bus.
