Day 1 Chiclayo

Arrival to Chiclayo airport or bus station
In the afternoon, guided visit to city the tour begins with the visit to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Convent Santa Maria, and the Chapel of Verónica. During the tour you are going to visit to Chiclayo's famous "Mercado Modelo" (Witch Market), of modern construction, it is one of the biggest in South America. One very interesting feature of this market is that you can buy a great variety of remedies form natural substances, and quite often employed by faith healers and used in folkloric medicine.
Return to the hotel.

Imagen 2Day 2 Chiclayo - Sipan

In the morning after breakfast, you will visit Sipán located 35 km to the east of Chiclayo, in the well-known area as Huaca Rajada. It is an archaeological complex that was only discovered in 1987, and occupies some 200 hectares. It is composed of two pyramids and a platform in which two of the most important Pre-Inca tombs were found, that of the El Señor de Sipán, and that of his ancestor, call the "El Viejo Señor", (The Old Man). The Royal Mausoleum in whose room was found El Señor de Sipan with his retinue of concubines, servants, and many other objects. It contains valuable objects of gold, silver, copper, and precious stones.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum
Return to the hotel.

Day 3 Chiclayo - Trujillo

After breakfast, you will take a bus to the City of Trujillo, located 209 kilometers south of Chiclayo.
Arrive and transfer to hotel.

After the breakfast, you will visit Chan Chan, which is located to 5 kilometers from Trujillo. It was the old religious and administrative capital of the Chimu Kingdom, and probably the largest adobe city in the world 20 square kilometers. He you can see its temples, urban living area, palaces, public squares, avenues, and walls that are profusely decorated.

Nearby are the pyramidal temples (huacas) of Huanchaco, and a picturesque creek with fishermen who have used famous Merry-go-round boats made from straw. These crafts are of Mochica origin and the fishermen use them for their work and for sport competitions.

You will also go to the Huaca del Dragon (Rainbow Temple), a Chimu pyramidal temple, located only 4 km from Trujillo, its walls are well preserved, reaching a of height of 11 meters. Here also you can observe well preserved friezes can that show snakes and dancing warriors.

Finally, you return to your hotel.

Day 5: Trujillo - Departure

In the morning will have a tour to Historical Center of Trujillo, starting at the Plaza de Armas, surrounded by a magnificent architectural environment with beautiful large colonial and early republican houses and the Church of Basilica, and the Cathedral.

You will also visit enormous Colonial houses that have preserved their large living rooms and the gates, that are typical to Trujillo, among them, the Mansion of Marshal Orbegoso, Emancipation House, and the Iturregui Palace.

Then you will visit the Cassinelli Museum, a private collection where you can see ceramic artifacts of the different Peruvian Pre-Columbian cultures that populated the Northern Region of Peru containing pieces of exceptional quality and rarity.

Then return to your hotel.

In the afternoon transfer to the airport.
